Triathlon time calculator

Predict your triathlon finish time from swim pace, bike speed, run pace and transitions, for sprint, standard, middle and full distance.

Choose a distance, enter your swim pace per 100m, average bike speed and run pace, and add your transition times. Your split for each leg and your finish time update as you type.

Be honest with the bike speed. Race-day averages on rolling UK courses are usually lower than flat training rides, and the run always feels slower off the bike.

Find triathlons to put it to use

How long does a sprint triathlon take?
Most age-groupers finish a sprint triathlon in 1 hour 15 to 1 hour 45 minutes.
How long is an Ironman?
A 3.8 km swim, 180 km bike and 42.2 km run. Most finishers take 11 to 16 hours, and the cut-off is usually 16 or 17 hours.
What are T1 and T2?
T1 is the first transition, from swim to bike. T2 is the second, from bike to run. Both count towards your finish time.
